Location: Islamabad, Pakistan · On-site, Full-time

About Get Books

Get Books is a book marketplace and publishing platform moving out of its early MVP stage — real vendors, libraries, and institutions are already coming to us, and our first franchise store is opening at NSTP, NUST. As we move from manual, founder-run finance and admin processes to a properly systemised company, we need someone who can own that transition end to end.

What you'll own

  • Financial operations — manage day-to-day bookkeeping, vendor payments, and bank reconciliation, and help set up FBR-compliant POS and tax reporting as our retail locations go live.
  • Odoo Accounting & Inventory administration — configure and maintain the finance and inventory modules inside Odoo alongside the Operations team, keeping the company's books audit-ready as we pursue grants and financing.
  • Admin and office management — run day-to-day administration for our NSTP office and training hub, including vendor contracts, procurement, and compliance documentation.
  • Basic IT support — keep our systems (Odoo, POS terminals, connectivity) running smoothly across the head office and stores, and be the first point of contact for technical issues.
  • Compliance support — help prepare documentation for SECP, NTN/FBR, and grant-reporting requirements as the company scales.

What we're looking for

  • 1–3 years in finance, admin, or accounting — bookkeeping or ERP exposure (Odoo a strong plus) preferred
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats — finance, admin, and basic IT in one role, typical of an early-stage company
  • Detail-oriented and trustworthy with financial and compliance information
  • Basic understanding of Pakistani tax/regulatory requirements (FBR, SECP) is a plus, not a requirement — willingness to learn matters more
  • Strong organisational skills and clear written communication

How we think about growth

We aim to pay people in direct proportion to the expertise they demonstrate in the role — not time served. The more you grow into this position, the more you earn, with a genuine path to greater responsibility as both you and Get Books scale.

Why join now

You'd be setting up the financial and administrative backbone of a company right as it moves from manual processes to a scalable, multi-location operation — a rare chance to build systems that will still be in use as the company grows into new cities.
