David:Devil Dogs

The ‘Devil Dogs†were K Company, 3/5 Marines, of the first US Marine Division, whose soldiers were drawn from across America. Drawing on numerous first-hand accounts of the action, this history follows their Pacific beach landings in 1942, the ‘Green Hell†of Cape Gloucester in New Britain, and their subsequent, consistently brutal island campaigns against the Imperial Japanese Army.
