Tales of Rumi

Jalal-ud-Din Muhammad Rumi popularly known as Rumi was a 13th century Persian poet, jurist, Islamic scholar, theologian ans Sufi mystic originally from Greater Khorasan.

 To quote himself: "Only from the heart can you touch the sky"

 The book entitled "Tales of Rumi" is an engrossing read. The stories have been adopted beautifully for a young audience; bringing the to life the characters of Rumi, whether its the deaf man visiting an invalid, the teacher who's deceived by his pupils, the villagers who saw an elephant for the first time or any one of the many.

 The illustrations transport us into the bygone era and yet leave us with a moral lesson for the present time.
